I write to you as one of the few artists chosen to perform on the Great Australian Wave showcase at this year's Popkomm-Berlin, and primarily as a letter of support for two Victorian people, Steve & Renata Iorio, who I believe are doing so much good for the arts in this state.
As we all seek to define new international pathways and networks in this exiting and groundbreaking time of change, it is clear that only the brave and one hundred percent committed are going to come out of this with new business opportunities to see us into a strong and exciting future.
As Steve & Renata (Blind Beatroot and The Vagrants) are continuing to honour their commitment to the artists on this year's program, by setting up several other industry showcases in Germany at the same time, and for the enormous amount of work that they have put into the event thus far, I would encourage you to give them all the support originally promised, to ensure that the channels that they are opening up between Victoria and Europe, remain open, viable and strong.
